Ok, again I am waiting until better prepaired...after loosing the last brood, I decided to just have a tank full of fish. I started cleaning out the bottom of the tank (wiping it down and such) and found some brown alge looking stuff. I have silk plants in the tank, because I could not find any info on moss that won't take over a tank. The silk plants had brown spots on them. Is this alge or is it a bacteria? I have a small snail(don't know what kind it is-round shell..maybe apple?...it was free so I did not ask...maybe a "mutt" snail LOL)sorry...any way, if it was alge, wouldn't the snail have eaten it?
Another question about snails(don't know where to have asked this question)...can a snail live in a betta bowl? I have two of the same small snails in two tanks. One has a Auqatech/biotech type filter and the other is a betta vase (plantless). Will it live in there, or should I put it in the running tank with the other (the petstore warned me that I WILL be overrun with having two snails in the same tank.
Thanks for letting me pick your brains again!
