I have silk plants in my "girls" tank...they get a brown "stain" (algea?). I bleach them probably once a month (if that often) and they don't loose color (I am also careful to rinse all the bleach out, and also soak them for a few minutes in "treated" water with extra "treatment" in it to get all the bleach off of them).
My question is, is this ok to bleach them that often?
Moved my post...is this correct?

I don't see where it would hurt any thing . As long as there being rinsed well ,like you said your doing . I think it should be ok .

We bleached (25/1 solution) plastic and silk plants all the time in my maintenance business with no problems. We simply did a quick rinse, then soaked the plants again in warm water with a double dose of sodium thiosulfate (Start right ect.) and I was done.
