I need some help. One of my bettas behavior has changed. He has developed black in between his scales. It almost like every other scale is black and yet is doens't look like any scales are "missing". He has become much less active. He used to spend more than half of his time flaring and showing up Flamenco who is in the bowl next him and now he just rests in the corner on the top of his plant so he doesn't have to swim to get air he just leans up. He'll come out for food but I have to coax him out. And he will rarely chase food anymore. Used to he would sit there and watch his pellets and wait for as long as it took for them to start sinking then he would dart after it. Now he just lets them sink and shows no interest unless I put the food right next to his head. This behavior is weird for him. His symptoms have been going on for about two weeks (more of the black for closer to two weeks the tired not moving stuff for about a week). He is in his own bowl and I am trying hard to keep everything that touches him or his stuff seperate from my other two bettas. So far neither of the other two bettas show any sign of changes in habits or hunger. They have been having to adjust to my new fall schedule I am not as home as much and not feeding them at the same time in the evening like I was. It hasn't bothered the other two if that is the trouble. They get a mix of betta pellets and dried blood worms. I change their water once a week. I don't know what the problem is with him. Help me please.
