I haven't even finished cycling my first aquarium (which means I have no fish yet - save my bettas) and I already want another tank!!! Oh my goodness! Okay so I am starting plans for another tank. It has to be small b/c of where I live. I was thinking a 5g hex...what do y'all think? Hmm...it would be mis summer time before I could get it so plenty of planning time. What do y'all think would be a good small tank for me? Been bitten by the "need more fish" bug.
P.S. Sry roman and bettamom you guys have probably already seen this. lol.

If I had time, money, and space I would have more too!
My old house had one room with wooden racks that held tiers of aquariums I used for my fish and for testing and breeding.

10 gallons are good, i guess i call them standard breeding tanks. i even breed angels /guppies/ and bettas in these tanks.
they are around 9.99 ea. so you can stack up on some. most breeders make like carl said, wooden structures to hold tanks. so see if you can build one.
it is great to get bitten. i got bit a long time ago and i havent woke up.

Its great to be bitten. I was wanting to get a small tank. Another ten gallon is not exactly what I was wanting.

LOL That happened to me years ago, 7 running tanks & no clue how many in storage later lol. I wish I could get a 150 gallon, but I'm afraid my floors won't hold up to well.
Since you're not doing anything until summer time, why don't you figure out what is the absolute largest you can get, and start saving up for that. And, I'd go with a 10 gal more then a 5. Really limited on how many and what you can get for a 5. Many more options with a 10.

well I am in a unique circumstance. I don't have alot of money to spend on tanks b/c I have to use it to travel and summer is when I make all of that money. (I drive about 100 miles round trip to school every day five days a week when the semester is going.) I can barely work during the semesters b/c school is all day. So I can't save a ton of money for a tank I have to save it for gas and for food while I am in the other city. My second dilemma is I am currently living with my parents (hey I am 18 and a full time college student no shame in that) and when I do move I can't have a huge tank anyway and take it with me. I don't want to have to downsize when I move (my move is not to far off) anyways a five gallon is what I want b/c I want DPs and b/c I can take it with me when I move. I can't starting getting bigger tanks until I own a house or rent a house or don't live upstairs (which is where my bedroom is in my parent's house and I plan to live upstairs in an apartment). So that's my sitch when it comes to getting a big tank. So a five gallon is where I am heading.

I think a 5g hex would be great. I see a lot of tall plants in the back of your tank w/ some small ones in front of those (layered). I also see a few small colorful fish in there....neons or male guppies. What do ya think?...only if I could do that with my own aquariumLOL!
Good Luck on finding another aquarium!

thanks suzie! I'll probably go w/ a pair of FW DP's. I'll have guppies and neons in my 10g.
